PIPES MADE OF NOTHING BUT STEEL AND EXPERIENCE.
SUCH PIPES ARE NOT EASY TO FIND.
THAT’S WHY WE MAKE THEM.
It all began with two companies and one aim. The companies were ESW Röhrenwerke GmbH in Eschweiler and Bochumer Eisenhütte Heintzmann. ESW has been manufacturing steel pipes for a 100 years. Bochumer Eisenhütte Heintzmann specialises in mining engineering and tunnel construction, in addition to the advanced heat treatment of steel products. The aim was no modest feat: to manufacture the best pipes in the world. The result: PlanetTube.
THIS STEEL MEANS BUSINESS.
Bochumer Eisenhütte Heintzmann uses steel pipes to make PlanetTubes. These are seamless, hot-rolled steel pipes that are manufactured in a planetary skew rolling mill (PSM) before being hardened and tempered. This explains the name PlanetTube. This technique is just as globally unique as the quality of the pipes. These pipes are most commonly used as OCTG products in the oil and gas industry.
PlanetTube: EVERY PIPE HAS ITS OWN HISTORY.
WE KNOW EACH OF OUR PIPES PERSONALLY.
Quality assurance begins right with the examination of supplied steel and does not end until our products are dispatched. PlanetTubes are tested by virtue of a wide range of physical and chemical testing procedures. These include mechanical Rockwell, Vickers and Brinell procedures, in addition to non-destructive ultrasound testing. Detailed results are recorded for every pipe and lead to certified quality in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001, ISO TS 16949 and the API specifications 5CT and 5L.
THE PERFECT TUBE FOR YOUR OCTG APPLICATIONS.
PlanetTubes can be made to suit individual requirements. The selection of dimensions ranges from an outer diameter of between 70 mm and 244.5 mm and wall thicknesses of between 7.1 mm and 60 mm. Thanks to their approval in accordance with API and North Sea specifications, the unique PlanetTubes are particularly suitable for use as OCTG tubes, for instance in pipelines and supply lines.Download fact sheet
